I’m so glad you’re here. As an in-network Aetna provider, I love helping families in Montclair and New Jersey get the lactation support they deserve—often with little or no out-of-pocket cost.
Received helpful informations for all my lactation issues. She is friendly and caring. N. Kumari
How Aetna Coverage Works for Lactation Visits
- Most families are covered for up to 3 consultations per year (each visit uses 2 billing codes: one for you, one for your baby).
- Online classes (like those from pump suppliers) also count toward your annual code limit.
- I’ll handle all the claims paperwork for you and will appeal up to two times if needed—so you can focus on your family.
- Out-of-pocket costs are rare, but possible. Most Aetna plans cover lactation visits, but insurance can be confusing. Sometimes, even if Aetna says you’re “fully covered,” they may not know if you’ve already used your yearly visits (including classes or other providers), or they may apply deductibles, coinsurance, or copays. If there’s ever a balance after your claim is processed, I’ll let you know before charging anything.
Absolutely wonderful! Helped me improve my latch and was always available to schedule a consult K. Miller

- After your first appointment, you can schedule your second and third follow-up visits the same way.
I had trouble getting a good latch which was causing discomfort. Catherine was very thorough and helped me understand how my baby can get a better latch, comfortable position for me and baby and sent me resources for me to review. I left her office with a better understanding and have been able to breastfeed my baby more vs exclusive pumping. I went 3 weeks from my discharge date and wish I would have visited her earlier! B.
